Who and what this covers
This policy covers the Tempo Blocks browser extension and the Tempo Blocks pages on Wiplash Labs. Tempo Blocks is provided by Westward Envoy Technologies LLC, doing business as Wiplash.ai (Wiplash, we, us, or our).
The extension and this website have different data practices. The extension keeps timer information locally. The website may use optional, consent-based analytics as described below.
Information the extension handles
Tempo Blocks handles the information needed to run the timer: timer status and timestamps, the selected routine, Custom block names and durations, Focus Cycle settings, notification and auto-advance preferences, and the movable widget position.
This information is stored in the browser profile on your device. It is not transmitted to Wiplash or any third party. Tempo Blocks does not collect browsing history, page content, cookies, account information, advertising identifiers, precise location, or payment information.
How information is handled
You create routine information when you edit blocks or settings. The extension records timestamps when you start, pause, reset, or move through the routine. When you click the toolbar icon, the browser grants temporary access to attach the widget to that ordinary webpage.
The widget does not read, collect, or alter the host page beyond adding its isolated timer interface. Browser-protected pages and extension-store pages do not permit this type of widget injection.
How local information is used
Local timer information is used only to show the selected routine, calculate remaining time, restore the timer after the widget or browser closes, update the toolbar badge, remember the widget position, and follow your notification and auto-advance choices.
Tempo Blocks contains no ads, account system, behavioral profiling, analytics SDK, or remotely hosted executable code.
Your choices control the timer
The extension processes local settings and timer state because you choose to use those features. Desktop alerts are optional and can be disabled in Settings. Temporary page access starts only after you click the Tempo Blocks toolbar icon.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis for the separate Labs website, optional analytics relies on your consent. Support correspondence is processed to answer your request and to operate and secure the product.
No extension-data sharing
Tempo Blocks does not sell, share, or transfer extension data to third parties. Wiplash does not receive your routine names, timer state, widget position, notification preference, or browsing activity.
If you email support, the email provider and service operators needed to deliver and answer the message process the information you choose to send. We may disclose information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, Wiplash, or the service.
Where information stays
Extension-managed data stays in the local browser profile controlled by your browser and device. The extension has no Tempo Blocks server account and no developer-held copy of that data.
Support email and optional website analytics may be processed in the United States or other places where the relevant providers operate. Appropriate transfer terms should be reviewed for any jurisdiction where they are required.
How long information remains
- Extension settings and timer state: remain in local browser storage until you replace them, restore defaults, clear extension data, or uninstall Tempo Blocks.
- Website analytics choice: remains in local storage and a first-party cookie for up to 180 days so the site remembers whether you accepted or declined.
- Analytics events: are subject to the configured Google Analytics retention period and do not include your Tempo Blocks routine or extension state.
- Support messages: may remain as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain security records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
Your controls and privacy rights
You can edit or replace routine settings, restore the selected routine to its defaults, turn off desktop notifications, clear extension data through browser controls, or uninstall Tempo Blocks. Because Wiplash does not receive extension-managed data, we cannot retrieve or delete a server-side copy that does not exist.
Depending on where you live, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of personal information Wiplash actually holds, such as a support message or consented website analytics data. You may also object, withdraw consent, use an authorized agent where permitted, or complain to a regulator. Email support@wiplash.ai to make a request.
Cookies and optional analytics
The Tempo Blocks extension sets no cookies and contains no analytics or advertising trackers.
On Wiplash Labs, Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Accept analytics.” If you decline or send a Global Privacy Control signal, it stays off. When enabled, the site sends ordinary page and device usage information such as page URL, page title, browser details, and interaction events. It does not receive extension timer data. We enable IP anonymization and disable Google signals and ad-personalization signals.
Security and limits
Tempo Blocks limits its scope through local browser storage, temporary active-tab access after a toolbar click, packaged code, and no persistent website permissions. Production product pages use encrypted transport.
No software or device is perfectly secure. Anyone with access to your browser profile or device may be able to access locally stored extension settings. Use the security controls provided by your operating system and browser.
Children's privacy
Tempo Blocks is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the extension. If you believe a child has sent personal information through support, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where required.
Questions and rights requests
Email privacy and access requests to support@wiplash.ai. Send legal notices to legal@wiplash.ai. Please include “Tempo Blocks” in the subject line and do not send passwords, browser history, or other information that is not needed to answer the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Tempo Blocks or the Labs website changes. We will update the effective date and provide notice through the product page or another appropriate channel before a material change takes effect when the law requires it.
Browser permissions and limited use
- activeTab temporarily attaches the widget after a toolbar click.
- alarms keeps block completion reliable while the widget is closed or the background worker sleeps.
- notifications shows optional block-completion alerts and protected-page restriction notices.
- scripting injects the packaged, isolated widget after that user action.
- storage saves timer state, settings, block names, and widget position locally.
Tempo Blocks does not request persistent host permissions. Its use of browser-provided information is limited to the disclosed timer functionality and follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not use or transfer extension data for advertising, creditworthiness, unrelated purposes, or sale to third parties.
